Deutsche Bank established a representative office in Budapest in 1990 and is operating a 100% subsidiary since 1996 and offering a full range of corporate banking services.
The Bank’s business policy is focused exclusively on large Hungarian and foreign corporate and institutional customers. Our philosophy is to provide our customers with banking services based on permanent contact and to become their core-bank. Deutsche Bank is serving over 300 clients in the Hungarian market.
The Bank’s activity is centralized in Budapest; currently the Bank’s office in Budapest is its only branch in Hungary. As the member of Deutsche Bank Group, we have a strong international background in product know-how and cash management services.
Deutsche Bank with its Cash Management Corporates Services is No. 1 Euro clearer and the largest participant in the main Euro clearing systems (RTGS+, EBA, and TARGET) with over 200,000 cross-border transactions per day.
For four consecutive years, Deutsche Bank Global Trade Finance was winner of "best trade documentation bank" and "best short term trade finance bank" and for two consecutive years in addition was named "best forfaiting Institution" in the Euromoney Trade Finance magazine Awards for Excellence 2005.
Since January 1, 2000 Deutsche Bank Hungary’s Capital Market Sales team has been a primary dealer of Hungarian Government Securities. The same year Deutsche Bank was named "The Best Primary Dealer of the Year" by the Government Debt Management Agency (GDMA). Since then we have been "The Most Dynamically Growing Primary Dealer of the Year", thrice (2001, 2003 and 2004). Euromoney awarded “Best Fixed Income House of the Year” to Deutsche Bank in 2005.
Deutsche Bank ZRt has obtained the ‘Top Rated Agent Bank in Hungary’ and as the only bank, the `Best in Class in All 10 Service Categories´ in cross-border and domestic categories of Global Custodian Agent Bank Review in 2006.
